My great grandmother was Frances Ely Reasor; daughter of Peter Reasor and Rebecca Ely. She was born October 18.1936 . She married William Jasper Collier. She died on August 21,1901 and is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Cooke County, Texas.
My Grandmother, Frances Rebecca Collier and my mother, Elmira Frances Cason Renfro are also buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
My brother was named Daniel Sheffie Renfro and my uncle was Daniel Sheffie Cason. I would have named ny first born son Daniel Sheffie Anthony but for the fact that my brother did not like the name of Sheffie and asked me not to name him Sheffie so we just named him Dan Renfro Anthony.Thanks. Virginia, I am so glad to have come across this site! I am the Grand-daughter of Marvin Cason, son of Grover Cleveland Cason, Elmira Frances Cason’s half brother. I went to see my Great Aunt Dola (Lemons) in the nursing home last Sunday and she told me that I should try to find you. But all I had to go on was the name she could remember and that was Virginia Lois. She couldn’t remember who you married. I would love to chat with you thru email or by phone. I am a Cason descendant and a researcher. I am looking for the children of Sterling Brown Cason of TN who died in Cooke County, TX about 1893. My email is merrittg@tds.net. I have a book on the Cason family going back to Joseph CAson who died in 1835 in a Cholrea (SP) epidemic in middle TN. Sterling Brown Cason was born in Wilson County, TN, the son of John Anderson Cason and Elmira Miles Cason. I can see I am missing some Cason descendants and would love to include your group.
